Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant/Secretary for the Small Island Unity Foundation will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the organization by handling key administrative and organizational tasks. This position involves supporting the foundation’s leadership and team by organizing meetings, maintaining records, and managing communications.
As the Secretary, you will act as a central point of contact within the organization, ensuring operations run efficiently and effectively while upholding the foundation’s mission to promote Caribbean culture and unity.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. You will play a crucial role in enabling the foundation to achieve its goals while contributing to its dynamic and collaborative environment.

Language Requirements

Tasks

Organize and schedule meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes

Maintain and update organizational records, files, and databases
-
Act as a liaison between team members, volunteers, and external stakeholders

Manage email communications and respond to inquiries in a timely manner

Support event planning by coordinating logistics and ensuring smooth execution

Assist with preparing reports and presentations for meetings and events

Collaborate with other departments to ensure the foundation’s administrative needs are met

Promote a positive and collaborative team culture

Occasionally assist with event logistics, such as lifting up to 25 pounds
