Director
A Carnival director is responsible for organizing, mobilizing and/or coordinating the staff, event participants, officials, and administrators for the successful execution of all carnival related events.

Education / Experience
MBO Degree or higher
-
Knowledge/experience Caribbean Carnivals
-
degree in any hospitality-related field (a plus)
-
A minimum of 2 years working experience in event management/planning and/or director roll
Language Requirements

Proper command of Dutch and English (Written and Speaking)

Other languages are a plus
Tasks
-
Monitors the progress of the planning and execution of each task that has to do with the event.

Serves as a link between the event and external bodies
-
Provides recruitment and training/coaching for the organizing committee for the purpose of an event.
-
Development of general event management policies.
-
Supervision of the production process of an event.
-
Make sure that staff and work personnel at the event adhere to the management policies that were put in place to minimize hiccups during the course of the event.

Lead and motivate a team

Work with the sponsorship department to adjust cost estimates.

Attend carnival board meetings

Must have a flexible schedule to travel
